Press Release for NY Junior Beef Producers

The New York Junior Beef Producers will hold their annual Spring Preview show on June 5th at the Niagara County Fairgrounds, 4487 Lake Ave, Lockport New York 14094.

This show is a kick off to the show season. It is open to any junior ages 7-21 that have a desire to show beef cattle.

Last year there were 62 participants with over 100 head of cattle exhibited from across the state of New York.

The schedule of events will include a media workshop at 7:30 pm on Friday June 4th. Saturday’s event will begin at 9:00 am with a cattle workshop sponsored by the New York Angus association with the topic of discussion being about calving issues/newborn calves and the BQA/VCPR program. This workshop is open to all cattle producers and anyone interested. The speaker for the workshop will be Dr. Allen Fournier of Maplewood Veterinary Associates. At 10:30 the juniors will have a mandatory meeting followed by lunch. The show will begin promptly at 12:00 noon. At the start of the show we wish to acknowledge any of our local and state politicians that have a strong stand and support for our agriculture in the state of New York.

 The judge for this year’s show is Cari Rincker; Cari recently opened a national general practice law firm concentration in agriculture and environmental law. Her principal office is located in New York, New York. Ms. Rinker grew up on a Simmental cow-calf operation in Shelbyville, Illinois and is currently co-owner of Rincker Cattle Co.
